Russians are trying to surround Bakhmut — Deputy Head of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksii Hromov

The Russian army is trying to block Bakhmut in the Donetsk region from the south and northeast, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine are repelling the Russian military offensive. 

In addition, Hromov notes that Russia is also trying to capture Soledar to advance to Chasovyi Yar.
