Russian troops suffered more than 100,000 casualties in Bakhmut — US President Biden

Joe Biden commented on the debates about the operational situation in Bakhmut. He emphasized the losses of Russian troops and the destruction of the city.

This is evidenced by the recording of Biden's press conference at the end of the G7 summit.

"Bakhmut is a discussion about whether or not it has been lost, or whatever. Well, the truth of the matter is the Russians have suffered over 100,000 casualties in Bakhmut. It's hard to make up," he said, adding that there are not many intact buildings left in Bakhmut.

Earlier, President Zelenskyy's response to a question about the Russian capture of Bakhmut caused a debate. He later said that Ukrainian troops were still in Bakhmut.
