Russian shelling in Kharkiv region injures pregnant woman and three children during the day

On the night of September 1, Russia attacked Ukraine with an Iskander-M ballistic missile and eleven Shahed-131/136 attack drones. The Russian army targeted agricultural logistics in the Mykolaiv and Sumy regions.
The Air Force Command reported the downing of eight combat drones in the Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Kirovohrad and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
In the Kharkiv region, bordering Russia in the east of Ukraine, the Russians shelled Kharkiv, Slatyne, Osynove, Borivka Andriivka, Kurylivka, Kochetok, Kamiana Yaruga, Cherkaska Lozova, Tyshchenkivka, Novoosynove, Kupiansk and the Bohodukhiv district. Two civilians were killed and 29 injured. Among them were a pregnant woman and three children. Fourteen private houses and four blocks of flats, the premises of two businesses, six outbuildings, nine cars and a minibus were damaged. The shelling caused at least three open-air fires.
In the Dnipropetrovsk region, south-central Ukraine, the Russians shelled the communities of Nikopol, Marhanets and Chervona Hryhorivka. Two civilians were injured in the shelling. A petrol station, an industrial plant, a shop, an abandoned building, four multi-storey buildings, a car, a greenhouse, a power line, about a dozen private houses, six outbuildings were damaged, and another was destroyed. According to updated information, three more private houses and an outbuilding were damaged in the attack on August 30.
Russia carried out 164 attacks on settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region, partially occupied in the south since 2022: Robotyne, Malynivka, Novoandriivka, Prymorske, Huliaipole, Novodanilivka, Mala Tokmachka, Levadne, Orikhove and Preobrazhenka. The regional military administration received 14 reports of residential buildings and infrastructure being destroyed. No casualties were reported.
In the Mykolaiv region, south of Ukraine, the Russians opened fire on the communities of Kutsurub and Halytsynove. The shelling caused a fire in a grain warehouse. No casualties were reported.
In the Sumy region, bordering Russia to the north, the Russians fired 236 times at the communities of Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Nova Sloboda, Esman, Seredyna-Buda, Hlukhiv, Yunakivka and Verkhnia Syrovatka. The shelling killed one civilian and injured five others. The barrage damaged grain trucks used for harvesting and transporting crops.
In the Donetsk region, located on the frontline in the east of Ukraine and partially occupied since 2014, the Russian army shelled Bilytske, Dobropillia, Lyman, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Shcherbynivka, Zvanivka, Novovasylivka and Rozlyv. One civilian died and six others were injured in the shelling. Twenty-two residential buildings, health facilities, businesses, administrative buildings, a hotel, shops, cars and agricultural produce were damaged.
In the Chernihiv region, bordering Belarus and Russia to the north, the Russians shelled the communities of Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka and Snovsk. Border guards recorded 60 explosions. No casualties were reported.
In the Kherson region, south of Ukraine, partially occupied since 2022, the Russian army shelled Kherson, Antonivka, Beryslav, Burhunka, Veletenske, Darivka, Mykhailivka, Poniativka, Prydniprovske, Novoberyslav, Novokairy, Novoraisk, Sadove, Kizomys and Shliakhove. The shelling killed one civilian and wounded another. An educational institution, apartment blocks, three private houses, an outbuilding and cars were damaged.
In the Luhansk region, almost completely occupied by Russia, the Russians shelled Nevske, Makiivka and Serhiivka. The regional military administration reported no casualties.
In the Cherkasy region, centre of Ukraine, air defence forces shot down a drone. The Russian attack damaged the windows of an outbuilding in the private sector. No casualties were reported.
