Russian shelling in Donetsk region leaves three dead and ten wounded

On the night of September 23, Russia launched two X-59/69 guided missiles and four Shahed combat UAVs at Ukraine.

The Air Force Command reported the downing of three combat UAVs in the Sumy region. Another UAV and two guided missiles failed to reach their targets.

In the Donetsk region, located on the frontline in the east of Ukraine and partially occupied since 2014, the Russian army shelled Hirnyk, Dobropillia, Kramatorsk, Kurakhove, Mykolaivka, Myrnohrad, Sloviansk, Kurakhivka and Novoukrainka. Three civilians were killed and ten others were wounded, including a 16-year-old girl. Damage was done to 95 private homes, seven apartment buildings, a lock-up, seven cars, an infrastructure facility, a hospital and an administrative building.

In the Kharkiv region, bordering Russia in the east of Ukraine, the Russians attacked Shyikivka, Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi, Buhaivka and Sobolivka. Four people were wounded in the shelling. Three outbuildings, a private house and a garage were damaged. Three fires broke out in the open as a result of the shelling.

Russians launched 363 attacks on the settlements of the Zaporizhzhia region, partially occupied in the south since 2022: Zaporizhzhia, Komyshuvakha, Zarichne, Kamianske, Piatykhatky, Huliaipole, Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Levadne, Novodarivka and Malynivka. The shelling left 16 civilians wounded, including a 15-year-old boy. 13 multi-storey buildings, educational institutions, private property, cars, lock-ups and private houses suffered damage. 

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, south-central Ukraine, the Russians attacked Pavlohrad, Nikopol, Marhanets, Myrove and Chervonohryhorivka communities. The shelling damaged the infrastructure. No casualties were reported.

In the Mykolaiv region, south of Ukraine, the Russians shelled the Kutsurub community and the water area of the Ochakiv community. Two private houses and a car were damaged, and a fire broke out in the open area. No casualties were reported.

In the Sumy region, bordering Russia to the north, Russians fired 76 times at Mykolaivka, Khotin, Miropillia, Bilopillia, Richkivka, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Nova Sloboda, Hlukhiv, Esman, Shalyhyne, Svesa, Seredyna-Buda, Verkhnia Syrovatka, Yunakivka, Putivl and Popivka communities. No casualties were reported.

In the Chernihiv region, bordering Belarus and Russia to the north, the Russians shelled Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka and Snovsk communities. Border guards recorded 33 explosions. Two residents sustained injuries. A building caught fire because of the shelling.

In the Kherson region, south of Ukraine, partially occupied since 2022, the Russian army shelled Kherson, Vesele, Tiahynka, Poniativka, Odradokamianka, Beryslav, Novovorontsovka, Bilozerka, Novoberyslav, Antonivka, Sadove, Prydniprovske, Komyshany, Tomyna Balka, Bobrovyi Kut and Zmiivka. One civilian was killed and seven others sustained injuries. The shelling damaged an administrative building, a bank, residential areas, a high-rise building, 20 private houses, a gas pipeline, buses and private cars.

In the Luhansk region, almost completely occupied by Russia, the Russians shelled Bilohorivka, Balka Zhuravka and Makiivka. The regional military administration reports no casualties.
