Russian propaganda broadcaster RT DE Productions ceases operations in Germany

The editorial board of Russia Today (RT) states "about the repressive restrictions on press and media freedom in the EU that forced this decision." It refers to the entry into force of the ninth package of sanctions.

RT DE also reported on the alleged "tremendous pressure from governments, media, corporations and others trying to restrict their journalistic work and silence them."

The Russians note that RT DE's content and reports will remain on their website.

As a reminder, in December, the EU agreed on a new package of sanctions against Russia, which includes sanctions against Russian media.
