Russian attack leaves two civilians dead and two injured in Donetsk region

On the night of October 19, Russian troops fired at Ukrainian cities with six X-59/69 guided missiles and 98 Shahed combat drones. As of noon, the Ukrainian Air Force shot down 4 X-59/69 guided missiles and 42 UAVs as a result of the air battle. Another 46 Russian drones lost radar contact (they fell on their own under the influence of electronic warfare). Information on the shootdowns is being clarified and updated.

In the Donetsk region, partially occupied since 2014 and located on the frontline in the east of Ukraine, the armed forces of the Russian Federation attacked Hirnyk, Kostiantynivka, Kurakhove, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Udachne, Hryshyne, and Pyskunivka. As a result of the Russian aggression, two civilians were killed in Kurakhove and Hirnyk, and two others were injured. Residential buildings, critical infrastructure, a shop, a workshop, a boiler house, a farm, an enterprise, power lines, and transport were also damaged.

In the Cherkasy region in central Ukraine, along the Dnieper River, the Russians shelled the Uman district. The massive attacks killed one woman and injured another. A critical infrastructure facility and a warehouse were also damaged.  

In the Kherson region in the south of Ukraine, partially occupied since 2022, Russia shelled Kherson, Antonivka, Zelenivka, Beryslav, Bilozerka, Komyshany, Stanislav, Sadove, Mykilske, Odradokamianka, Osokorivka, Oleksandrivka, Novovorontsovka, Zolota Balka, Mala Seidemenukha, and Olhivka. Nine civilians were wounded as a result of Russian aggression. The Russian military hit an educational and medical institution, an administrative building, multi-story and private houses, and vehicles.

In the Sumy region, bordering Russia to the north, Russia attacked the community of Shostka with UAVs and missiles. Seven civilians were injured in the attack. Energy and infrastructure facilities were damaged, causing a number of settlements in the community to lose power. 

In the Chernihiv region, bordering Belarus and Russia to the north, Russian troops fired at the communities of Semenivka, Snovsk, and Horodia with MLRS, grenade launchers, and UAVs. The shelling damaged a critical infrastructure facility. No civilians were injured.

In the Zaporizhzhia region, partially occupied in the south since 2022, the Russians shelled Lobkove, Huliaipole, Novoandriivka, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka, and Levadne with UAVs, MLRS, and artillery. There were five reports of destruction of residential buildings and infrastructure. No civilians were injured.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region in the south of Ukraine, the Russian army attacked Nikopol and the communities of Myrove, Pokrovske, and Marhanets with artillery and kamikaze drones. As a result of the shelling, a private house, a garage, and an outbuilding were destroyed. There were no casualties. 

In the Kharkiv region, bordering Russia to the east, Russian troops shelled Zolochiv. There were no casualties or damage.

In the Mykolaiv region in the south of Ukraine, Russia launched UAV strikes on the waters of the Ochakiv community. There were no casualties or damage.

In the Luhansk region, almost completely occupied since 2014, the Russian army attacked Hrekivka, Makiivka, and Balka Zhuravka. There is no information on casualties or damage.
