Russia wants to use Wagner PMC mercenaries to involve Belarus in the full-scale war against Ukraine — SBU

The Security Service of Ukraine has established that Russia wants to use Wagner PMC mercenaries currently in Belarus to draw the country into the full-scale war against Ukraine.

The SBU press service reports.

The special service has received intelligence indicating that Russians are preparing a large-scale provocation at the Mazyr Oil Refinery.

The terrorist attack is being prepared by a sabotage and reconnaissance group of Russian military personnel and Russian special services officers who were sent to Belarus disguised as mercenaries of the Wagner PMC.

This Russian sabotage group is supposed to carry out a provocation at the refinery, pretending to be "Ukrainian saboteurs."

The Ukrainian special service received information about the attack from several sources. In particular, from a captured Russian serviceman who received information about a "special mission" at the Mazyr Oil Refinery. In his phone, SBU cyber specialists found deleted messages with other perpetrators, pictures of the facility, and other information about the operation.
