Russia launches missile attacks on Ukrainian cities. At least six people were wounded in the morning attack on February 15
In total, Russians attacked 12 regions of Ukraine during the day.
On the morning of February 15, the Ukrainian Air Force destroyed 13 of the 26 missiles of various types that Russia used to attack Ukrainian cities and villages. The Russians launched airborne targets from Belgorod, Kursk, Voronezh regions, the temporarily occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region, Ukraine, and the Russian cities of Novorossiysk and Engels.
An infrastructure facility was hit in Lviv, 60 km from the Polish border. Three people were injured. More than 10 missiles were fired at the region, with Ukrainian air defence systems operating.
In the Kyiv region, Ukrainian air defence destroyed all the missiles that Russia had intended to use to attack the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv. Residential buildings and cars were damaged in the area.
In the Khmelnytskyi region, west of Ukraine, civilian objects were damaged during the attack. Two people were injured and taken to hospital in moderate condition.
An infrastructure facility was hit in the Zaporizhzhia region, south of Ukraine. One person was injured. In addition, Russian troops attacked 19 towns and villages in the region 110 times during the day, using MLRS, UAVs, artillery, etc. Residential buildings were damaged.
In the Poltava region, which borders the Kharkiv region, a warehouse was hit and a fire broke out. No people were injured.
In the Dnipropetrovsk region, Russians attacked civilian infrastructure. The Ukrainian air defence system was engaged. In addition, at night, Russians attacked the Nikopol district, which borders the temporarily occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region across the Dnipro, with heavy artillery.
On the night of February 15, Russians also attacked 16 settlements in the Kharkiv region. A 67-year-old woman was killed in Chuhuiv. Residential buildings were damaged or destroyed. In the Kupiansk district, three people were killed and five were injured. Two more women are trapped under the rubble. Search and rescue operations are ongoing.
In the Donetsk region, partially temporarily occupied since 2014 with the frontline, eight people were killed and 13 others injured as a result of Russian shelling on February 14. Selidove, Mykolaivka, Novohrodivka and Bahatyr came under Russian fire.
Over the past 24 hours, the Russian army used artillery to attack the Kutsurub and Ochakiv communities in the Mykolaiv region, in the south of Ukraine.
In the Kherson region, which has been partially occupied since 2022, Russians fired 18 times, launching 192 shells. One person was killed and five others were injured. One of the victims is a child.
The Russian army also shelled the border regions of the Chernihiv and Sumy regions, which border Belarus and Russia to the north, respectively.
Ukrainian air defence operated in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. As a result of falling debris, a fire broke out and was quickly extinguished. There were no casualties.
