Russia illegally detains ~25,000 Kremlin prisoners
According to the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, this is the number of civilians abducted by the Russian Federation.
During the full-scale invasion, the National Police began investigating the enforced disappearance of 8,800 people. Russian Children's Ombudsman Maria Lvova-Belova claims Russia has illegally abducted over 700,000 children from Ukraine.
The Media Initiative for Human Rights has identified about a hundred places where abducted civilians are held.
The Mission of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Qırım confirms 182 illegally imprisoned Ukrainian citizens, 60% of whom are Qırımtatarlar.
During the full-scale war, 2,576 Ukrainian citizens were returned to Ukraine, including 144 civilians.
A 'court' in the temporarily occupied Qirim applied administrative detention to 22 Qırımtatarlar
On August 26, a "court" imposed 22 arrests for one to seven days. Earlier, Russians detained this group of Qırımtatarlar for supporting Kremlin prisoners.
Crimean Solidarity reported the sentences.
It will be recalled that on August 24, Russians detained six Qırımtatarlar in the temporarily occupied Bağçasaray. On August 25, the 'Kyiv District Court' began considering their cases. Dozens of Qırımtatarlar came to the court to support the prisoners. Then, the security forces arrested 23 protesters.
After that, they were taken to the occupation police station. A Russian military officer also arrived there and tried to hand them summonses. The Qırımtatarlar refused to take these "documents".
The next day, the same "Kyiv district court" placed the illegally detained Qırımtatarlar under administrative arrest.
Russians transferred Kremlin prisoner Amet Suleimanov to Vladimir.
The prisoner, who needs surgery to replace his heart valve, does not have all the necessary medicines.
His wife, Lilia Liumanova, informed Crimean Solidarity about this.
Amet Suleimanov is an illegally detained Qirimli sentenced by a Russian court to 12 years in prison on trumped-up terrorism charges. Until now, the prisoner has been held in Aqmescit's Detention Centre No. 2. However, on August 28, it became known that he was taken out of the detention centre. At first, the security forces did not say where they were taking Suleimanov, but later, they said that the prisoner would be held in the Vladimir prison.
Suleimanov may die in prison, needing surgery to replace his heart valve. In Russian colonies, medical care is rarely provided to prisoners. In addition, the prisoner does not have the necessary medicines — the security forces did not hand over some of them during the transfer from one isolation ward to another. He does not have a pulse oximeter or a blood pressure monitor, which makes it impossible to monitor his health.
Russian security forces have brought a case against a resident of the temporarily occupied Qirim, Dmytro Kozlia, to the "court"
He allegedly "discredited" the Russian army several times in a row.
The transfer of the case to the "court" was reported by the SOVA Research Centre.
Kozlia was an entrepreneur whose businesses had operated on the peninsula since at least 2006. He did not leave Qirim after the start of the temporary occupation.
In late May 2023, Russian security forces accused Kozlia of "discrediting" for the first time and fined, allegedly because of his comments on Facebook. At the end of July 2023, the security forces accused him of the same thing again. He faces five years in prison for "repeated discrediting".
Half of prisoner Kostiantyn Davydenko's face is paralysed
The Kremlin prisoner was forced to wash with cold water, fell ill, and could not eat or receive medical care.
This was reported by the Association of Relatives of Political Prisoners of the Kremlin.
Davydenko has been in Russian captivity since 2018. The Russians fabricated espionage charges against him and sentenced him to 10.5 years in prison. He is currently being held in a colony in the Saratov region.
The colony's bathhouse and boiler room do not work in the summer, so the prisoners wash with unheated water. As a result, the prisoner fell ill with what is likely to be facial neuralgia.
The Russian security forces wanted to send Davydenko to Saratov Regional Tuberculosis Hospital No. 1, but he refused because prisoners were tortured there.
Medical care in the colony has no positive effect. However, even to get this help, Davydenko had to demand it several times a day.
Illegal armed groups of the 'L/DPR' illegally convicted six POWs
The prisoners of war were sentenced to 14 - 25 years on trumped-up charges.
This is evidenced by Russian security forces' statements.
They forced the Ukrainian military to defame themselves. The defamatory recordings were then used as the "evidence" in alleged violations of the laws of war.
