Appellate 'court' approves fine for QIRIM newspaper
The Kyivskyi district 'court' in Simferopol did not accept the appeal of the representatives of the newspaper 'QIRIM'. It approved a fine of 300 thousand rubles (about 3 thousand dollars — ed.) for discrediting the Russian armed forces.

Crimean Tatar Riza Omerov was sentenced to 13 years imprisonment in 2021 in the Hizb ut-Tahrir case. He was found guilty by the Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don. Riza Omerov was to spend the first two years in a Minusinsk prison and the next 11 in a penal colony. In March 2002, the Court of Appeal upheld the first instance court's decision.
Political prisoner Eskender Abdulganiev has been transferred from a penal colony in Yugra, Kemerovo region, to a colony in Kemerovo

In the colony in Yugra, Eskender Abdulganiev was illegally sent to the punishment isolation cell for 'a tendency to commit constant violations'. As a result, the Crimean Tatar spent five months in the punishment isolation cell — from February 14 to June 21, with a five-day break.
Eskender asked the administration for the contact details of the Human Rights Commissioner for the Kemerovo region and a Public Oversight Commission representative and wanted to meet the Imam (head of the Muslim community, spiritual leader — ed.). These requests were ignored. After that, Eskender was taken away from the 41st colony.
He was sentenced to 12 years in prison in the Hizb ut-Tahrir case.
Journalist Serhii Tsyhipa from Nova Kakhovka forced to take Russian passport

Serhii is being held in the punishment isolation cell of Colony No. 3 in Skopin, Ryazan region. A journalist and writer from Nova Kakhovka, he was abducted in 2022 because of his active pro-Ukrainian position and journalistic activities. On October 6, 2023, the Supreme 'Court' of Crimea sentenced Tsyhipa to 13 years in a maximum security colony, accusing him of 'espionage'.
He has heart and cerebral vascular problems (cerebral atherosclerosis and coronary heart disease).
