Russia has destroyed or damaged nearly 800 objects of Ukrainian cultural heritage

The current war between Russia and Ukraine is a war for the very right to be Ukrainian and the existence of Ukrainian culture, according to Oleksandr Tkachenko, the Minister of Culture and Information Policy.

"This war is against our very identity, against our people. We see not only in Bucha but also many other liberated areas of the Kharkiv and Kherson regions, Ukrainians were killed just for the right to be Ukrainians," he said.
