Russia creates conditions for controlled withdrawal to the left bank of Dnipro — ISW
According to analysts, the Russians may have to withdraw fighting to prevent the Ukrainian military from reaching the left bank of the region. The relevant intentions are indicated, in particular, by reports of the destruction by Russians of civilian boats and marinas on the Dnipro.
At the same time, ISW notes that the Russians have significantly intensified in the Donetsk region by replenishing losses with mobilised troops. As a result, analysts believe the increase in personnel may allow the Russian army to advance. Still, due to weak logistics and command, the advance will not significantly affect the course or outcome of the war.
