Reuters: UN adds Russia to list of offenders of children's rights in armed conflict

Every year, the United Nations Secretary-General publishes a separate report on this topic. This year's report mentions the actions of the Russian Federation.
This was reported by the Reuters news agency, which has access to the report.
The report annually contains a list of groups and states that violate the rights of children during hostilities.
Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has not yet published the 2023 report, which he presents to the UN Security Council every year. In the report, Guterres states that he is particularly shocked by the number of children killed and injured by Russian actions. The UN has confirmed 148 children killed, 516 injured and 91 cases of children being used as human shields by the Russians.
At the same time, the UN report also accuses the Ukrainian Armed Forces of violations. The Ukrainian army allegedly killed 80 children and injured 175.
The 2022 report does not mention a full-scale invasion. The Secretary-General said that due to the high intensity of the war, the information would be published in 2023. The list of last year's violators of the year included, for example, Myanmar, the Islamic State and other similar terrorist groups.
This year it includes Russia, yet not Ukraine
