Polish Sejm supports ban on Russian and Belarusian agricultural products

Warsaw, Poland (Svidomi) — The lower house of the Polish parliament, the Sejm, has adopted a resolution to impose sanctions on imports of Russian and Belarusian food and agricultural products.

441 deputies voted in favour, while two deputies abstained from voting.

The text of the document states that agricultural products from Russia and Belarus continue to bring large revenues to producers, traders and the budgets of these countries.

Earlier, Latvia banned imports of Russian and Belarusian grain. The import ban will apply to agricultural and livestock products in Latvia, but not to those sent to other EU member states.

The Polish Sejm calls on the EU to take similar actions.
