Poland to send 10,000 troops to reinforce border with Belarus
Four thousand soldiers will be directly involved in supporting the Border Guard Service, and another six will be in reserve.
Polish Defence Minister Mariusz Błaszczak made this statement on Polish Radio.
Such measures, according to the minister, are being taken to "deter the aggressor and prevent him from attacking".
Earlier, the head of the Polish Border Guard Service, Tomasz Praga, asked to send an additional thousand soldiers to the border. On August 9, it became known that two thousand soldiers would be sent to the Belarusian-Polish border.
Poland has repeatedly spoken about the growing migration pressure on the border with Belarus.
