Poland redeploys two military brigades to the east due to Wagner PMC in Belarus - Defence Minister Mariusz Błaszczak
Poland has redeployed two military brigades to the east because of the Wagner fighters in Belarus.
This was announced by Polish Defence Minister Mariusz Błaszczak in a commentary to the Polish media outlet RMF 24.
The 12th and 17th Mechanised Brigades were moved from the west of the country to strengthen the eastern border with Belarus.
"We are aware of the threats that exist in the east. We know that Wagner's group has been transferred to Belarus. That is why we have reinforced the east of Poland," Błaszczak said.
To recap, on July 18, Belarusian monitoring groups reported that the fifth column of the Wagner PMC had allegedly arrived in Belarus.
