Over three thousand pilgrims arrive in Uman
As of September 11, three thousand Hasidic pilgrims have arrived in Uman to celebrate Rosh Hashanah.
This was reported by the head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, Ihor Taburets.
A special regime of entry and exit, as well as movement around the city, has been introduced in the city. Law enforcement officers are on duty in an enhanced mode. Foot patrols are being deployed.
The sale of alcoholic beverages and alcohol-based substances, as well as the sale and use of pyrotechnics, air guns and toys imitating weapons, is prohibited in the pilgrimage neighbourhood.
A curfew is in effect in the region from 00:00 to 4:00.
On September 10, the Prime Minister of Israel called on Hasidim to refrain from travelling to Uman.
"Israeli citizens travelling to Ukraine must take personal responsibility for their trips," Netanyahu said at a Cabinet meeting.
