Over the past week, fighting has continued in multiple sectors of the front. Both Ukraine and Russia achieved marginal advances in different areas of the frontline.

This was reported by the press service of the UK Ministry of Defence.

Ukraine continues to resource significant effort around Russian-held Bakhmut. Here, Russian forces are likely fragile but holding for now. In the northeast, the Russian army is trying to advance west through the forests near Kreminna.

The Russian military is also conducting unsuccessful offensives in the area of Avdiivka in the Donetsk region.

"In the south, Ukraine continues to attack on at least two axes, but is unlikely to have yet broken into Russia's primary defensive lines," the report adds.

According to British Intelligence, in the Kherson region, Ukraine maintains a small bridgehead on the left bank of the Dnipro River near the ruined Antonivsky Bridge. This adds another challenge for the Russian commanders, who are likely "concerned about the vulnerability of their southwestern flank."
