Over five thousand Wagner PMC mercenaries are in Belarus
Their main base is several hundred kilometres from the Ukrainian border, said Andrii Demchenko, a spokesman for the State Border Guard Service.
"There are no other major locations of mercenaries at the moment," said Demchenko.
He stressed that the situation on the border remains fully controlled by the Ukrainian Defence Forces, including the SBGS units.
"Ukraine's intelligence units, including the SBGSU intelligence, are actively monitoring the situation, to what extent it may change and pose a threat to Ukraine. But at the moment, the number of Wagner PMC representatives in Belarus does not pose a significant threat to Ukraine," the State Border Guard Service representative added.
