One person killed and six injured. On May 9, Russians shelled eight regions of Ukraine

Twenty-one settlements in the Kharkiv region, bordering Russia in the east of Ukraine, were hit by artillery and mortar fire. An 11-year-old child and a 72-year-old woman were injured in the Russian attack on Kharkiv. Twelve private houses were also damaged. In Lyptsi, a 62-year-old woman was wounded by shelling. In Kupiansk, a 51-year-old man was killed, and a 49-year-old woman was injured.

In the Zaporizhzhia region, which has been partially occupied in the south since 2022, Russians attacked eight settlements. There were 17 reports of residential destruction. One woman was wounded during a Russian MLRS attack on the Zaporizhzhia district. 

Russians shelled 15 settlements in the Kherson region, partially occupied since 2022. Residential areas of the region's settlements were hit, and 28 private houses were damaged. A critical infrastructure facility and a gas pipeline were hit. One person was injured. 

Russia launched 2,212 strikes in the Donetsk region, which has been partially occupied since 2014 and is located on the frontline in the east of Ukraine. Explosions occurred in nine settlements. Ninety-eight civilian objects were damaged. One person was wounded as a result of the strikes on Hostre.  

In the Sumy region in the north of Ukraine, bordering Russia, Russians fired 11 times at the border areas and populated areas. The communities of Khotyn, Bilopillia, Nova Sloboda, Esman, and Seredyna-Buda came under fire. 

In the Mykolaiv region in the south of Ukraine, the Kutsurub community came under artillery fire. Russians also attacked the Kostiantynivka community. A car was damaged, and a dry grass fire started. There were no casualties.  

In the Dnipropetrovsk region of south-central Ukraine, the Russian army fired on Nikopol with attack drones of various types. The enemy attacked the city with five drones. The buildings of two private companies and a shop were damaged. There were no casualties. 

In the Chernihiv region bordering Belarus and Russia to the north, Russians attacked the Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka and Snovsk communities with cannon artillery and mortars. There were no casualties. No damage was reported.
