On the night of May 8, Russian troops attacked Kyiv with Iranian Shahed-136/131 drones and the Odesa region with X-22 missiles.

Air defence units shot down all 35 UAVs launched. However, five people were injured when the wreckage of a drone fell in the Sviatoshynskyi district of Kyiv.

They were provided with medical assistance. 

Seven cars were damaged, and one caught fire. A residential building was also damaged, with debris falling on the roadway. 

In Solomianskyi, a diesel fuel tank was damaged with a leakage of diesel fuel, but it did not catch fire. 15 trucks and 5 cars were damaged. In addition, a high-pressure gas pipe was damaged by debris, which led to a gas flare. The gas supply has been cut off, and the fire extinguished. 

In the Odesa region, missiles hit a warehouse of a food company. In total, the Russians fired eight missiles at the region, some of which missed their targets. There are no casualties.
