Ukraine's Air Force shot down 35 missiles and 46 attack UAVs used by Russia on the night of June 1.
The 53 missiles fired by the Russians during the night included X-101/X-555 missiles, Iskander-M ballistic missiles (from Crimea), Iskander-K cruise missiles, Kalibr cruise missiles, and X-59/X-69 guided missiles.
In the Kharkiv region, bordering Russia in the east of Ukraine, the Russians launched a missile attack on Balakliia. Twelve people, including a pregnant woman and eight children, were hospitalised in moderate condition. In addition, two men were injured as a result of the shelling of Shestakove with guided aerial bombs. In Vovchansk, a house was destroyed by shelling and one person was wounded. Russian troops shelled the Pokrovsk, Kramatorsk and Bakhmut districts of the Donetsk region, which has been partially occupied since 2014 and is located on the frontline in the east of Ukraine. In the Kherson region in the south of Ukraine, which has been partially occupied since 2022, Russian troops attacked Antonivka, Sadove, Kizomys, Beryslav, Chervonyi Maiak, Kherson, and other localities. Among other things, the Russians used aircraft. They hit an administrative building and the territory of a medical facility and damaged a power line. Five people were injured.

In the Mykolaiv region in the south of Ukraine, the Russian army attacked the Ochakiv and Kutsurub communities with artillery. There were no casualties. In addition, Ukrainian air defence destroyed eight Russian Shahed 131/136 UAVs over the region.
On the evening of May 31, the Russians attacked Odesa. Preliminarily, with a ballistic missile with a cluster munition. A 28-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man received shrapnel wounds and were hospitalised in moderate condition.
In the Khmelnytskyi region in the west of Ukraine, Ukrainian air defence destroyed one Russian Shahed UAV. The location of the wreckage is being established. There was no information on casualties or damage.

In the Chernihiv region, bordering Belarus and Russia to the north, Russian troops shelled the border village of Kliusy. Ukrainian border guards recorded seven explosions.
The Russian army fired 26 times at border communities in the Sumy region in the north of Ukraine, bordering Russia. The Russians used artillery, mortars, UAVs, FPV drones and small arms. Ukrainian border guards recorded 141 explosions. The communities of Krasnopillia, Yunakivka, Khotin, Myropillia, Mykolaivka, Seredyna-Buda, Esman, Svesa and Velyka Pysarivka came under Russian fire.
