On the night of December 5, nine regions of Ukraine were attacked. There was destruction, deaths and injuries
Donetsk region: Russians attacked Vuhledar, Novoukrainka, and Bohoiavlenka. Two people were injured in Avdiivka. The Mariinka, Ocheretyne, Chasiv Yar, Torets and Lyman communities came under fire. The Russian army launched a missile attack on Selidove. Houses and administrative buildings were damaged.
Kherson region: Russians made 89 attacks over the last day. One person was killed and five others were wounded. At night, the Russians launched a missile attack on Kherson. A fire broke out in a humanitarian aid distribution centre. At least two people died as a result of the repeated shelling of the city. Two more were injured.
Lviv region: the Russian army attacked the infrastructure with three drones. The attack caused a fire. There is some minor damage. There are no casualties.
Kharkiv region: Russians shelled more than 20 settlements in the Bohodukhiv, Chuhuiv and Kupiansk districts. In Chuhuiv, a UAV attack damaged houses. A 41-year-old man sustained an explosive injury.
Mykolaiv region: Ukrainian air defence destroyed two Russian Shahed-131/136s. In addition, Russians attacked the Ochakiv and Bereznehuvate communities. There were no casualties.
Zaporizhzhia region: the Russian military shelled 21 settlements in the region 157 times. Residential buildings and infrastructure were destroyed.
Sumy region: at night, Russians shelled the Krasnopillia, Seredyna-Buda and Znob-Novhorod communities. Ten explosions were recorded. Yesterday, one person was injured in the shelling of the Velyka Pysarivka community.
Chernihiv region: during the day, the Russian army attacked the border communities of Snovska and Semenivska. 41 explosions were recorded. There were no casualties.
Khmelnytskyi region: Ukrainian air defence was active at night. No reports of damage or casualties.
