Norway to restrict entry of Russian-registered cars into the country

The Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is developing rules to restrict the entry of cars with Russian registration into the country.
This was reported by the NRK newspaper.
"We are currently studying how this can be done and will quickly come up with effective measures," Norwegian Secretary of State Eivind Vad Petersson said.
Earlier, Norway banned imports but allowed the temporary use of cars with Russian licence plates.
It will be recalled that on September 8, the European Commission published clarifications on sanctions against Russia, according to which the Commission recommends that the entry of cars registered in Russia be treated as prohibited imports.
