North Korea may sell Russia new types of tactical guided missiles in addition to the planned deliveries
The DPRK may sell Russia new types of tactical guided missiles in addition to the planned supply of short-range ballistic missiles.
This was stated by South Korean Defence Minister Shin Won-sik.
"North Korea, which needs money, is actively selling new weapons that Russia wants," the defence minister told South Korea's Yonhap news agency.
Shin Won-sik said that the recent visit of Kim Jong Un, the leader of the DPRK, to munitions factories may be related to the possible supply of weapons to Russia.
The two countries are stepping up their military cooperation.
Seven members of the UN Security Council have accused Russia of using its permanent membership of the Council and North Korean missiles to attack regions of Ukraine.
"These violations lead to further suffering of the Ukrainian people, support Russia’s brutal war of aggression, and undermine the global nonproliferation regime," the statement published on the website of the US mission to the UN reads.
It will be recalled that Russia used several missiles from the DPRK to attack Ukraine on January 6. One of these missiles hit Kharkiv.
