The Molfar OSINT agency has identified 43 employees of a plant that produces "shahids" in Tatarstan, Russia.
The community reports this on its pages.
The plant is located in the Alabuga Special Economic Zone near Yelabuga in Tatarstan. Goods in this zone are exempt from normal customs control and taxation.
After the introduction of Western sanctions, the Russian government announced plans to create 6,000 drones by 2025 on the basis of Alabuga.
According to the zone's website, in March 2022, 33 enterprises were operating there, and approximately 20 were under design or construction.
Among the identified employees of the plant, nine people are linked to the Russian Ministry of Defence. These include, among others, Pavel Kositsyn and Anton Fortunatov, who are involved in software development and Kirill Feoktistov and Konstantin Tikhonov, who are involved in the development of UAV hulls.
Two employees, Yaroslav Batin and Yevheny Symenenko, who also manufacture drone bodies, are likely to be linked to the Russian FSS.
It will be recalled that on the night of August 19, Russia attacked Ukraine with Shahed-136/131 attack drones. The Ukrainian military managed to destroy 15 drones out of 17.
