Moldova denies Russian statements about Ukraine's alleged preparations for provocations in Transnistria
The Moldovan authorities have denied the statements of the Russian Defense Ministry that Ukraine is allegedly preparing armed provocations in unrecognised Transnistria (Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic).
NewsMaker refers to the government of the Republic of Moldova.
"We urge you to remain calm and receive information from official and reliable sources of the Republic of Moldova. Our departments cooperate with foreign partners, and in case of a threat to the country, society will be immediately informed," the government said.
The day before, the Russian Defence Ministry said that the provocation would allegedly be carried out by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, particularly the Azov Regiment, dressed in the uniform of the Russian Armed Forces.
