Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan Yoshimasa Hayashi arrives in Ukraine
Japan's Foreign Minister Hayashi visits Ukraine on an unannounced visit.
This was reported by the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine.
Yoshimasa Hayashi will meet with the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba. The two officials will discuss "the restoration and reconstruction of Ukraine from a 'uniquely Japanese' perspective, through the public and private sectors".
Japan also wants to demonstrate its support for Ukraine with its visit.
The delegation also includes representatives of Japanese business.
"These business representatives ... will talk to the Ukrainian side about recovery and reconstruction needs to deepen the involvement of Japanese companies in future assistance in the reconstruction of Ukraine," the Japanese Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
