Liz Truss expresses further support for Ukraine

"My message to the people of Ukraine is this: The United Kingdom will continue to stand behind you every step of the way. Your security is our security," Truss said.

Truss will also urge leaders at the UN General Assembly in New York to help avoid Russia's energy pressure on Europe.

This will be Truss' first international visit as Prime Minister.

"Too many lives — in Ukraine, Europe and around the world — are being manipulated by dependence on Russian energy. We must work together to end this once and for all," she added.
