Iran has become one of Russia's main military sponsors since the start of the full-scale war in Ukraine — UK MoD intelligence
According to intelligence, military support from Iran will likely increase in the coming months as Russia seeks more weapons, including hundreds of ballistic missiles.
For its part, Russia promises Iran unprecedented military and technical support, transforming defence relations between the states.
Russia, most likely, has already spent a significant part of its stockpile of short-range ballistic missiles SS-26 "Iskander", which carry a 500-kilogram warhead at a distance of up to 500 km, and therefore needs to be replenished by Iranian missiles. Accordingly, if Russia receives Iranian ballistic missiles, it will be able to further attack the critical infrastructure of Ukraine.
