In the temporarily occupied Crimea, Russians almost destroyed the ancient suburb of Chersonesos Tavriya

Russians conducted so-called "excavations" there. First they drove excavators there, and later - hundreds of people. The works will be carried out in such a way that part of the information about the past of Chersonesos will be lost forever.

The territory of the reserve is owned by the New History Foundation. "This is a fund of the Russian Orthodox Church, headed by Russian Metropolitan Tikhon, the so-called "confessor of Putin". And Putin actually now manages Chersonesos through his protege, who is the so-called "director" of the reserve," Kravchenko noted.

Thus, leveling the importance of ancient Chersonesos, the Russians impose the narrative that it is allegedly the "cradle of Russian Orthodoxy". In particular, first-graders in schools of the temporarily occupied Sevastopol are told that "Russian Prince Vladimir" allegedly baptized Russia in Chersonesos.
