In temporarily occupied Melitopol, Russians come to teachers and educators with searches

"They [Russians — ed.] are afraid that those in the temporarily occupied territory are conducting online lessons according to the Ukrainian curriculum," said Mayor Ivan Fedorov.

The Russian military is forcing educators to come to the temporarily occupied schools and teach children according to the Russian curriculum.

According to Fedorov, only 10 of the 22 schools are functioning today. There are no students in the city who would agree to go to school, and there are not enough teachers.

"There are 2,900 employees of the education department in Melitopol, and less than 300 have agreed to collaborate. These are not teachers but technical specialists. Not a single school or kindergarten principal agreed to cooperate," added the city mayor.
