In Avdiivka, people cannot be rescued from the rubble, and specialised vehicles cannot get in due to shelling

The head of the Avdiivka City Military Administration, Vitalii Barabash, reports that people have been under rubble for more than 24 hours.

On April 28, an 81-year-old woman was trapped under the rubble because the Russian army hit a 5-floor building. The woman was in a basement.

"Yesterday [on April 30 - ed.] after the air strike, a man born in 1962 was trapped under the rubble. This man is our public utility electrician. No signs of life in both cases," Barabash says.

According to him, on April 30, they found a phone and jacket during the rubble removal. But without special equipment, they are not able to continue the work.

"On Saturday, April 29, we worked out the rescue options with the State Emergency Service and the Head of the region. The SES was on its way but came under fire and went back. It is impossible to drive in," the head of the City Administration says.

It will be recalled that on April 30, Russians shelled with "Grads" the old and central part of Avdiivka.
