Hungarian Prime Minister Orbán accepts Zelenskyy's invitation to discuss Ukraine's accession to the EU

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said he had accepted an invitation from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to discuss Ukraine's "hope for accession" to the EU.
Orbán said this at a press conference in Budapest on December 21.
Zelenskyy has not yet announced a meeting with the Hungarian prime minister. However, he has previously spoken about the need for such a meeting.
It will be recalled that on December 14-15, Hungary blocked a $50bn aid package for Ukraine. Viktor Orbán was the only leader who opposed it.
During the vote on negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the EU, Orbán left the room, allowing the European Council to pass a unanimous vote in favour.
