Head of Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration: "Russians are nearly ready for fake mobilisation in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine"
Zaporizhzhia region, Ukraine (Svidomi) — The Russians are ready to conduct the so-called mobilisation in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration Ivan Fedorov says on the air of the Ukrainian national telethon.
"This happened after the so-called referendum in the autumn of 2022. Similarly, there was a tougher attitude towards civilians after the so-called local elections in September 2023. We understand that the enemy [Russians — ed.] will behave in the same way now after the farce so-called elections they have held," Fedorov said.
He also says the Russian authorities have opened military registration offices in every settlement and military records at every enterprise to "get an idea" of the location of the residents who are allegedly subject to conscription.
"I am sure that after their so-called elections, they will conscript our residents. We urge residents to leave, because the enemy will drag [Ukrainians] away by force and use them as cannon fodder," the head of the region concluded.
Ivan Fedorov also says that about 50-70 thousand people who remained under occupation in the Zaporizhzhia region are at risk of forced mobilisation into the Russian army.
It will be recalled that Russians held illegal early voting for the presidential election in the temporarily occupied Luhansk region, east of Ukraine.
