Government approves resolution on restoration of Kakhovka HPP — Denys Shmyhal
The Ukrainian government has approved a resolution on a pilot project to rebuild Kakhovka HPP.
This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.
The project is designed for two years.
The first stage involves the design of the necessary engineering structures and preparing the base for restoration. Construction work will begin in the second phase after the de-occupation of the territories.
"The project will be coordinated by the Ministry of Economy, and Ukrhydroenergo will be the customer," the Prime Minister said.
As a reminder, Kakhovka HPP was completely destroyed as a result of the Russian explosion. The plant is beyond repair.
