Germany opens a probe against Hamas group over attack on Israel

German federal prosecutor is investigating the Hamas attack on Israel, in which the group took a number of hostages, including German citizens.

The death toll of Israelis is still 900 people. The Palestinian Ministry of Health reports 849 Palestinians killed. The IDF reports 156 dead soldiers.
Defense Minister Yoav Gallant says that Israel is moving to a "full offensive" in the Gaza Strip, as sporadic clashes with Hamas terrorists in southern Israel continue for a fourth day.
The Israeli Air Force shelled the Gaza Strip more than 50 times on October 10. Al Jazeera journalists report that "dozens of homes, industrial facilities and public infrastructure were struck".
Lebanon shelled northern Israel. The IDF responded by striking with artillery. Israel reports no casualties caused by the Lebanese shelling.
The UN commission says it is collecting evidence of war crimes in the Gaza Strip and Israel. The commission says there is already "clear evidence" of war crimes committed by both sides, including attacks on civilians.
The children of a US citizen who went missing in the area of Hamas's attack on Israel report that the US government has not contacted them about their mother. The 66-year-old woman disappeared from the settlement of Be'eri on Saturday.
