Germany and the UK plan to deliver the first tanks to Ukraine by the end of March

German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius said that his country would have delivered the first Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine by the end of March.  

"Kyiv will receive the tanks by the end of the first quarter," Pistorius said. 

UK Deputy Defence Secretary Alex Chalke made a similar statement.

"We plan for it to be the end of March," Chalke said in parliament when asked about the delivery of Challenger 2 tanks. 

Next week, the Ukrainian military will begin training on the operation and maintenance of British tanks.
