G7 pledge unwavering support for Ukraine and the allocation of $ 32 billion in 2023
Following the meeting, the G7 Finance Ministers announced their unwavering support for Ukraine and the allocation of $32 billion in 2023.
"To underscore our unwavering commitment to supporting Ukraine together with the international community, today we reaffirm our joint approach to coordinated fiscal and economic support next year in line with the needs of the Government of Ukraine," the joint statement reads.
The amount of $32 billion includes $18 billion of budgetary assistance from the EU, US aid, $115 million loan from the World Bank, $115 million Canadian dollars in the form of tariff revenues from imports from Russia and Belarus.
The document also reminds that during 2022, the G7 provided Ukraine with $32.7 billion in budget support.
