European Commission and Poland launch an initiative to find kidnapped Ukrainian children

Dana Spinant, spokeswoman of the European Commission, announced this at a briefing in Brussels, the correspondent of "European Pravda" reports.

"It was estimated that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Russian forces have sent thousands of Ukrainian children to Russia. This is why, in conjunction with Poland, we launch this initiative with the support of the UN agencies," said Spinant.

The goal of the initiative is to join forces to gather evidence to find the abducted children and bring those responsible to justice.

It will be recalled on February 25, the European Union adopted the tenth EU sanctions package, one of the key goals of which is to punish those responsible for the deportation and forced adoption of at least 6,000 Ukrainian children.
