EU has no evidence "so far" that China plans to supply arms to Russia
President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen said there is no evidence yet that China was going to supply weapons to Russia.
Radio Liberty reported this citing the European Commission President.
Answering a question about sanctions against China in case of arms supplies to Russia, the European Commission President said this was "a hypothetical question that can only be answered if it becomes reality and fact."
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz added that the Chinese government has assured that it would not arm Russia.
"We all agree that there must be no arms deliveries, and the Chinese government has stated that it will not do so. This is what we demand, and we are following up on it," he said.
