Eight people died as a result of Russian shelling over the past day. Another 16 got wounded

On the night of July 7, the Russian army attacked Ukraine with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles and 13 Shahed drones. Ukrainian air defences shot down all the drones in the Kirovohrad, Kharkiv, Sumy and Poltava regions.

In the Kharkiv region, bordering Russia in the east of Ukraine, Kharkiv, Dobropillia, Tsapivka, Novoosynove, Staryi Saltiv and Odnorobivka came under attack. One person was killed, and two others were wounded. In Tsapivka, the shelling resulted in the burning of wheat on an area of 4.5 hectares.

In the Donetsk region, which has been partially occupied since 2014 and is located on the frontline in the east of Ukraine, the Russians fired 2261 times at Hirnyk, Kostiantynivka, Pokrovsk, Toretsk, Ukrainsk, Chasiv Yar, the village of New York, Zoriane, Kostiantynopilske, Kurakhivka, Marynivka and Mykhailivka. Two people were killed, and eight were wounded. Eighteen residential buildings, a driving school, administrative buildings, garages, and a car were damaged.

In the Sumy region, bordering Russia to the north, the Russians fired 39 times at the border areas over the last day. The communities of Bilopillia, Myropillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Esman, Seredyna-Buda, Znob-Novgorod, Khotin and Shalyhyne were attacked. The military recorded 134 explosions. There were no casualties.

In the Kherson region in the south of Ukraine, which has been partially occupied since 2022, Kreschenivka, Antonivka, Mykhailivka, Urozhaine, Kizomys, Burhunka, Beryslav, Novoberislav, Pryozerne, Dniprovske, Stanislav, Prydniprovske, Olhivka, Shevchenivka, Tiahynka, Vysoke and Kherson came under attack. A multi-storey building and ten private houses were damaged. There were hits to administrative buildings, a shop, and damaged cars. Four people were killed, and three others were injured. 

On July 6, the Russians attacked Nikopol and the communities of Chervonohryhorivka and Pokrovske in the Dnipropetrovsk region in south-central Ukraine. A woman was killed. An industrial enterprise, private houses, an outbuilding, a gas pipeline and a power line were damaged. On the night of July 7, the Russian army attacked Pavlohrad with rockets. The shells damaged four private houses. There were no casualties. In Nikopol, three people were injured in a night attack. Three enterprises, a college, a kindergarten, a garage cooperative, ten private houses, three outbuildings, a gas pipeline, and a car were damaged.

During the day, Russians fired 361 times at the Zaporizhzhia region in the south, which has been partially occupied in the south since 2022. Eight settlements were under attack. There are three reports of residential buildings being destroyed. There were no casualties.
