Since April 15, an attempted coup d'état has been taking place in Sudan. Fighting between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Response Forces (RSF) continues almost throughout the country. Fierce clashes are ongoing in the capital Khartoum.
The confrontation was caused by disagreements over how the RSF should be integrated into the army. The Sudanese Armed Forces have rejected any possibility of negotiations or dialogue with the RSF before the group is disbanded.
