For the same reason, according to the authors, the billionaire had conversations with Russian officials.

The Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, asked Musk to restore the connection, but he refused.

Therefore, on June 1, 2023, the Pentagon signed an agreement with SpaceX to purchase Starlink for Ukraine, which Musk would not be able to disconnect at will.
