Bulgaria joins G7 declaration on security guarantees to Ukraine
Bulgaria has joined the G7 Declaration on Long-Term Security Guarantees for Ukraine.
The Bulgarian Telegraphic Agency reported the news.
The decision was made by the country's Council of Ministers on August 16.
"Bulgaria provides political and practical support to Ukraine. Thus, in opposing Russian aggression, Bulgaria also makes a direct contribution to the protection of the freedom, security, and sovereignty of all EU member states. In line with this policy, Bulgaria is joining the Joint Declaration of the G7 countries in support of Ukraine, the Government Information Service reported," the Council added.
Bulgaria became the 16th country to join the Declaration.
Earlier, North Macedonia and Latvia adopted the same decision.
