Belarus sends illegally deported Ukrainian children to train with the Belarusian military

The Belarusian authorities have sent illegally deported children from the occupied territories of Ukraine to train with the Belarusian military. The children were taken to Belarus allegedly for recreational purposes.

The press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Emergency Situations reports.

35 children from the Russian-occupied Ukrainian city of Antratsyt, Luhansk region, located 32 km from the border with Russia, came to the Dubrovenka sanatorium in the Mogilev district, allegedly for "rest".

The "evacuation in extreme situations" training was held at the Mogilev Regional Security Centre of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

On January 10, a group of 35 children was allegedly returned to the Luhansk region temporarily occupied by Russia.

It will be recalled that on December 2, 2023, the Red Cross suspended Belarus' membership due to its involvement in the deportation of Ukrainian children to Russia.

The Yale School of Public Health's Humanitarian Research Laboratory has found that at least 2,442 Ukrainian children between the ages of 6 and 17 have been deported to Belarus since Russia's full-scale war in Ukraine began.
