Belarus accuses Poland of violating its airspace - Poland calls it a lie
Belarus has accused Poland of violating its airspace by allegedly flying a Mi-24 helicopter into the interior of the country. The Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces called it a lie and a provocation.
This was reported by PAP.
The Belarusian Border Committee published a video in which a Polish Mi-24 helicopter allegedly flew 1.2 km into Belarus and then returned. The incident took place in the Hrodna region.
The spokesman for the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces, Jacek Goryshevsky, called the reports "an absolute lie and provocation".
Goryshevsky cited reports and radar records showing no such incident took place.
He emphasised that the data from reports and radar records indicate that no such incident took place.
Belarus summoned the Polish Charge d'Affaires to its Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
It will be recalled that on August 1, two Belarusian helicopters violated Polish airspace. They were conducting exercises near the border, which Belarus had warned Poland about in advance.
