Avdiivka, the scene of the heaviest fighting in the east of Ukraine — the situation is "tense, but it is under control"

Avdiivka, Ukraine (Svidomi) — The spokesman for the Tavria operational-strategic group responsible for the Avdiivka frontline, Dmytro Lykhovii, said that the situation in Avdiivka remains "very tense but under control".
Ukrainian units in Avdiivka are sometimes manoeuvring to move to more favourable positions.
Supply and evacuation are difficult, but the Ukrainian military has activated a backup logistical artery.
The city is half-encircled by the Russians. Due to the difficult situation on this section of the frontline, the Third Separate Assault Brigade, which had previously operated in the Bakhmut sector, was urgently redeployed to the Avdiivka area.
The brigade's commander Andrii Biletskyi stated that Ukrainian soldiers "are forced to fight 360 degrees against new brigades that the enemy is deploying".

The situation in Avdiivka remains threatening and unstable. The Russians continue to actively rotate their troops and deploy new forces and equipment to the city.
Avdiivka is a small town located in the Pokrovsk district, Donetsk region. It is located 13 km north of the temporarily occupied Donetsk.
