An ML 3.3 earthquake occurred in Zakarpattia at night

The Main Center for Special Control reported this.

On February 27, at 03:15:39 Kyiv time, an earthquake was registered near the village of Velyka Dobron, 19 km west of the city of Mukachevo, Zakarpattia region.

The earthquake with a magnitude of 3.3 occurred at a depth of 2 kilometers.

"According to calculations, the earthquake does not pose a threat to the population. It is classified as a minor but strongly felt earthquake: many people feel it inside a building, and few people feel it outdoors," the Main Center for Special Control reported.

The Center notes that the vibrations are similar to the shaking caused by a heavily loaded car. In cars that are standing still, the jolt is noticeable.

The last earthquake, which was felt in more than 15 settlements of Zakarpattia, was registered near the city of Irshava on January 03, 2023, with an ML 3.8 at a depth of 6 kilometers.
