American TV channel NBC published a report from the temporarily occupied Crimea
The reporters got to the peninsula through the Crimean Bridge, visiting the temporarily occupied Crimea from the territory of the Russian Federation. The report's authors claimed that most of their interlocutors on the peninsula called it the territory of Russia. However, NBC does not mention the numerous cases of repression that have been recorded in Crimea since 2014.
Instead, Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleh Nikolenko reminds that entering the peninsula from Russia violates Ukrainian law.
"Violators are legally liable. In particular, foreigners are also banned from entering Ukraine for such actions. The competent authorities of Ukraine are currently establishing the circumstances of the illegal visit of the NBC journalist to the territory of Crimea," Nikolenko wrote.
